Braga Permai

This is my most favorite cafe in Bandung for now! hahahha. Lemme describe you about the condition in this cafe.
Wait, where is Braga Permai? It is in the heart of Braga, Bandung City. If you use cab, just tell him to go to Braga City Walk, stop near Wendy's (next to Braga City Walk), cross the road, turn right. 10-20 steps ahead you will find Braga Permai.
Why I write this article in english? Because almost half guests/customers in Braga Permai are foreigners. I don't know why, maybe this place has been known as 'foreigners comfort zone' for them, or simply because they have many varieties of delicious meals :).

This place is so cozy in evening, especially when you come here at saturday night and choose outside seats. They have their own artists who perform acoustic everlasting songs. Their waiter and waitress are nice and friendly, some of customers here even have called them by names.

About the meals, hmm...all of them are mouth-watering. So far, I've tried these:

Lava cake

Apple pie
Apple tart

Nasi Goreng Ayam, Nasi goreng Iga, Nasi Goreng Salmon
Crispy Duck Noodle
Pumpkin Soup
Aglio Olio
(kind of deep fried breast chicken with sunny side egg, french fries, and saute vegetable, I forgot the name, sorry)
(kind of foil-steamed red snapper with boiled egg and saute vegetable)
assorted kind of ice cream
Beverage:
Virgin Mojito
Green Float
.....(actually I tend to only drink their free-of-charge spring water, hahaha)

For foodies like me, this is such a small heaven. You can find several kinds of food in a place, so you don't have to go to each chinese or western or indonesian restaurant because they have it all. My recommendation...try the lava cake and apple pie for dessert, Nasi Goreng ayam or deep fried breast chicken....(which I forgot the name, just find it by yourself, haha!) for main course. I also recommend virgin mojito for your drink.
If you are a small-takers (the one who eat only a little), consider yourself to share a meal with your pair, because the portion is quite big and enough for 2 common indonesian people.

This place also has alcohol, so if you might want to enjoy Bandung's breeze evening air with a bottle of cold beer, wine, or vodka, you can have them here with a reachable price even for a common asian low-budgeted backpackers.

Tokyo Connection and Pizzalogy Ciwalk

Sore tadi saya dan seorang teman makan di Tokyo Connection Ciwalk, yang terletak di lantai 2 nya Pizzalogy (jadi dlm 1 building ada 2 kafe gitu deh). Konsep keduanya sedikit beda, Pizzalogy lebih ke arah anak muda 15-20 th, nongkrong with the gank sambil rame2 makan pizza dan main kayanya adalah konsep yang 'terbaca' dari Pizzalogy. Tapi konsepnya agak beda begitu naik ke lantai 2. Tegel putih berubah jadi warna hitam, seakan ingin menunjukkan sisi 'glam', 'classy', dan 'tenang'. Emang bener, suasana di Tokyo Connection memang adem ayem dan lapang, dengan jendela yang dibuka lebar2, cermin gede di beberapa spot, lampu kuning, lilin, serta furniture kayu dan besi yang berwarna bold. Kayanya sih pangsa pasarnya 20 th ke atas dan family ya. Musik yang dipasang pun lumayan cozy dan ga hirukpikuk. Jadi tempat ini cukup pas untuk meeting semi formal, ngobrol semi nyantai, atau sekedar menyepi sambil baca buku.

Oke, tentang makanannya...saya nyobain:

1. Chicken karrage curry -35k-
2. Beef teriyaki -35k-
3. Ice lemon tea -12k-
4. Green tea...(lupa namanya, pokoknya semacam frappe/blended grean tea with caramel and whipped cream topping deh). -harga lupa, 25k kl ga salah-
Overall makanannya standar, agak kecewa karena portioning nya kecil alias dikit banget. Mungkin ini karena harganya termasuk murah untuk cafe dgn interior yang furniture dan maintenance nya pasti ga murah. Rasanya juga kurang berkesan dan memorable, kurang otentik sebagai curry dan teriyaki. Untuk minumannya, ice lemon tea nya lumayan worth to buy, soalnya gelasnya gede, jadi abisnya lama hahaha. Untuk grean tea frappe nya, standar frappe dgn penampilan yang lumayan cantik.
Conclusion: Tempat ini asik buat nongkrong abis pulang kantor, sekedar baca buku, buat bikin meeting semi formal atau ngomongin proyek, nge-date yang rada classy, atau sekedar family time sore2 abis pegel keliling ciwalk. Buat minum, worth to buy deh. Harga dan yg disajikan setimbang. Tapiii kalo kalian lagi laper banget dan pengen makan banyak, hmm tempat ini kurang disarankan sama saya....

Beef calzone -30k-
Rasa beef nya ga kerasa -_-, banyakan tomat sama bawang bombay. Calzone nya pun kempes dan dough roti pizza nya kerasa bgt masih undercooked. Yah 30 ribu doang sih...tapi mending harga naik dikit tapi kualitas bersaing kan -_-, soalnya saya pernah nyobain calzone di tempat lain yang harganya ga jauh beda tapi rasanya jauuh lebih enak.
Conclusion: buat anak2 SMP, SMA, atau kuliah tingkat 1-2, bolehlah buat kongkow2 disini sama temen2 se-gank, sambil main kartu atau ngegosip atau bahkan ngeceng (hahahaha), soalnya harganya lumayan bisa dijangkau untuk sekelas pizza di mall.
